Chemical Peels
One of the least invasive ways to improve the appearance of skin is by a chemical peel, also called chemexfoliation or derma peeling. It can be used on the face, chest or any area of skin damage. The SoLux skin technician applies a chemical solution and carefully monitors the skin's reaction. The appropriate strength and chemical composition of the peel is determined by the SoLux skin technician, and is dependent on the patient’s needs and goals. Peels are often classified as follows:

Progressive: Removes only the outer layer of skin via mild sloughing with repeated treatments, not by immediate exfoliation.

Mid-Depth: Affects the intra-epidermal layer; light exfoliation occurs within two to three days after application.

Deep: Affects the deepest intra-epidermal layers, resulting in considerable peeling of large segments over a period of seven to ten days.
